History

The Myanmar Youth Stars Network (MYS) has been established to response to the inequality, stigma and discrimination and a growing HIV/AIDS epidemic among its community since late 2012.

Thanks to the outcome of “New Generation Leadership training” organised by UNESCO in 2012, an active working group was formed with the intention to strengthen the capacity of Young Key Population (YKP), extend their social networks and initiate HIV related activities among peers. In late 2012, the working group grew dramatically into a national network called Myanmar Youth Stars (MYS) network, recommended and supported by UNESCO.
