We’re thrilled to share the remarkable success of the “International Youth Day” event, expertly orchestrated by the Myanmar Youth Stars Network (MYS) on August 12th, 2023.
Myanmar Youth Stars (MYS) is a national network for Young Key Population (YKP) (includes men sex with men, sex workers, drug users, people living with HIV) and youth at high risk aged between 15 and 30 who are vulnerable to contracting HIV. MYS is currently closely working with more than 1,500 YKPs those are members in 18 townships across the country in terms of 1 – advocating the rights of young key populations (YKP) related with HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health, 2 – Networking, 3 – Capacity Building and 4 – Evidence based Assessment since late 2012 in Myanmar.
Youth from four key affected populations (YKAP) have equal rights including equal access to quality services for HIV/AIDS and SRH, equal opportunity to develop their capacity.
Myanmar Youth Stars (MYS) strives to (1) ensure everyone from four key affected populations has an equal right regarding HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) (2) enhance the capacity of youth through networking, coordination and advocacy.

Advocacy – Policy influencing for the equal rights for Young Key Affected Populations of HIV.
Capacity Building and Education Sharing – To provide leadership of YKP and better knowledge on HIV/SRHR.
Networking – Strengthening the Networking and Collaboration for Enhanced integration approaches on HIV/SRHR program and increased accessibility to services.
Community Led Research – Needed to strengthen advocacy on better quality and wider reach of HIV services for YKP. Eg. Young MSM Online Survey and rapid assessment on the impact of COVID-19.
